Nissan built the 2007–2011 Altima Hybrid on a Toyota-licensed hybrid system, so its 244.8-volt NiMH pack behind the rear seat ages much like a Camry's. It was sold mainly in California and other CARB states, which is why so many of these cars are in our service area today.
Failing packs show up as a bouncing charge gauge, the engine surging at stops, and codes like P0A80. Reconditioned Altima packs start at $499 on a 45-day, unlimited-mileage plan, with 6-month ($750), 1-year ($1,049), and 3-year ($1,799) options, plus a $2,599 5-year plan built with new cells.
The Altima is a sedan, so mobile installation is available — or drop it at any of our three shops.
Our Altima hybrid battery pricing starts at $499 for a 45-day, unlimited-mileage warranty plan. Longer warranty tiers (6-month, 1-year, 3-year, 5-year) cost more. The 5-year plan uses new OEM cells and is the longest coverage we offer. Get a quote above for exact pricing on your year and trim.
We service Altima model years from 2007 through 2011. If you have a year not listed in our selector, contact us — we may still be able to help.
Yes. Mobile installation is available across California, Oregon, and Washington. Our technician comes to your home, office, or workplace and installs the battery on-site. Most sedan jobs are done in a single visit.
P0A80 is the OBD-II code for 'Replace Hybrid Battery Pack.' It means the hybrid control module has detected that one or more cells in the high-voltage battery are out of spec. It's the most common reason customers come to us. We diagnose first — sometimes it's a related component (cooling fan, 12V battery) and not the pack itself.
Bringing the sedan to one of our three shops (Fairfield CA, Santa Fe Springs CA, Auburn WA) skips the travel fee. Mobile installation adds a travel charge based on distance from the nearest shop. We confirm the total before scheduling.
